My journal is going to start sounding monotonous. Still more unpacking and arranging. It goes so slowly. The moving in has become a race between finding everything and getting it set up and running out of clean laundry. I must get my washer and dryer hooked up and ready to go by the end of the weekend. I caught ingenuemuse on Y!M last night. As usual, The Muse was up to her eyebrows in stuff she needed to do and her messages were overflowing -- whether she meant her phone answering machine or offline messages from Y!M, she didn't say. Neither case would surprise me. Being as special and popular as Topaz is does apparently carry it's drawbacks. I love talking to her, but she's hardly ever on Y!M. All told, I think all we managed to do was exchange a couple of pleasantries. I gave her a remarkably uncanny anagram that I found in the letters of her name, but I'm not sure her mind was entirely on the conversation.

I was talking to pr1ss at the time as well. We were discussing a multitude of interesting topics, and this was the first I have chatted with her. She's a smart, industrious lady with a wry wit and an interesting sense of humor. We were discussing movies and senses of humor, for the most part. I had seen a post on her page that she had invented for fun and taken at face value as a true account. I do that sometimes. Sometimes I make an excellent straight-man.

Unfortunately for me, neither conversation was going well, in that I was simultaneously busy trying to put my stupid desk and office in some semblance of order, or at least trying to clear off a reasonable working surface. I fear I was a lousy conversationalist -- at best it was probably dull for my correspondents. Sorry ladies!
