Morning Rotation

I've decided to keep a log of what my computer plays when I turn on the music in the morning. Currently there are 703 tracks on my main playlist. If played back to back, they would give me enough music to run for almost three solid days. That's enough to be random enough to be interesting. So, I set Real Player to shuffle play and take what I get. Here, without further ado, is the morning rotation:
  1. Yes: "Roundabout"
  2. Smash Mouth: "All Star"
  3. Carl Douglas: "Kung-fu Fighting"
  4. Grand Funk Railroad: "Bad Time (to Be in Love)"
  5. Cheap Trick: "The Flame"
  6. Hootie and The Blowfish: "I Go Blind"
  7. Daryl Hall and John Oates: "Maneater"

I thought that Kung Fu Fighting was by Carl Douglas...

You're right. Either the track I've got is labeled wrong, (because mine sounds to me, like the original 1974 version, which would be Carl Douglas) or else I have a cover. Funny, I wouldn't expect Rick James to sound like Carl Douglas. The version I was playing sounds nothing like the voice on say, "Super Freak." Hmmm. Apparently, this song has been covered a lot. I looked it up: Bee Gees(!), Village People, The Foo Fighters, Bus Stop, Earth Wind and Fire, N Trance, KC & The Sunshine Band(!), Ash, even Tom Jones(!). Heh heh. I'll have to look into it when I get home from work tonight. Thanks for the heads up!

I'm here to help.

Kung-fu fighting will be stuck in my head for awhile to come. HAHAHA!!
