MorningWe got on the road by 5:15 AM. We traveled straight through for the most part, although we stopped at McDonald's for breakfast in Sebastopol. We arrived at Salt Point State Park somewhere between 10:00 - 10:20 AM, and started getting the tents set up. Crystal set up hers and mine, while Shannon and I put up Jackie and Shannon's tent. Jackie is a bit put out by things and is in the mood to complain. She's not feeling very cooperative.
Crystal pointed out a doe in the next door campsite. I got pictures of it. It seems really tame, or at least, relatively fearless. It was either grazing, or else munching someone else's leavings.
The site is really interesting. You can see the ocean from here through the trees. The wooden picnic table with attached cabinet is damp, as are all the trees in the area. The sky is overcast and the temperature, according to the SUV's external thermometer, is about 55 degrees F.
