Got up at 8:00 AM again. Crystal was up earlier. She made eggs mixed with bacon bits and salsa. That was tasty. It was cool this morning and I didn't want to exit my sleeping bag. Nevertheless, I did, and did the breakfast dishes too.
After breakfast, we hit the road for Fort Ross Beach. Crystal went snorkeling around the cove and the girls spent the time digging in the sand and playing tag with the surf.
Crystal pulled up a couple of starfish for us to look at. I took pictures of one that Shannon had. Then I found another starfish washed up on the beach. It was still alive so we put it back with the others.
The vehicle says it's 67°F at Fort Ross. We're back at camp now, having lunch. I had a big ham and Swiss sandwich and a cup of noodles (any minute now).
The wind has picked up again and my hands are chilly, but everything else is okay.
After lunch, Shannon, Crystal, and I retreated to the tent because the wind is a bit stiff. Not two sentences later, we were joined by Miss Jackie. Crystal is face-down, nuzzling her air-mattress and the girls are lying on either side of me.
Shannon is telling me about the balls of wax in my ear and attempting to get Jackie to take a look too but Jackie has declined. In a little while we are going down to Fort Ross Store to get some more bleach and eggs and what-not.
Nap over. We're off to Fort Ross Store. The north campsite is vacant again. The south campsite is now inhabited by a family with three tents. They have two teen boys, a mom, and a dad.
